Subject: [WOLFE-L] Wolfe ancestor?

In South Carolina, about 1837, a young Rebecca ? (born 1820-1823)
married
?(name unknown) Wolfe. We know from census records she was widowed between
1855 & 1860, because she is listed as such in 1860 records (widowed), and has
the last child listed as born 1855. We know where her children (most of them
from the census) wound up and ALL their descendants. We know she's buried in
Mt Carmel Methodist Cemetary northern Santa Rosa County, Florida with most of
the elder children from the census: James Oliver Wolfe, b 12/31/1837,
William Washington Wolfe b 2/14/1839, Henry Wolfe b 1842, Govan Wolfe b
1846, Samuel Capers Wolfe b 9/15/1847, Frances Wolfe b 1850, Wesley Anderson
Wolfe b 9/2/1855.
We have no clue as to who she was (maiden name) nor whom she married.
I get close, but no matches. I've been watching this list for a couple of
years, and working rootsweb(as a contributor), but cannot find anyone missing
virtually an ENTIRE family.
They were on the train when found on census 1860 Montgomery Cty
Alabama, moving to southern Alabama and with a great deal of funds from a yet
to be discovered will.
Any help would be appreciated!
Angela Stone Wolfe
