Dr. John Thomas Wood died 28 Dec 1925.
This Obit is from the Fayette Democrate Leader and is undated.

IN MEMORY OF DR. J. T. WOOD
J. T. Wood was born January 31, 1846,
in Mason county, Kentucky, coming to
Boone county with his parents when
12 years old. He was reared on a farm
two and one-half miles from Rocheport,
was educated at Walnut Grove academy
Louisville Medical College and Cincin-
nati Medical College, graduating from
the latter in 1870. He immediately be-
gan the practice of medicine and con-
tinued until about three years ago.
He married Ellen Taylor, September,
24, 1872. Eight children were born of
them, four dying in infancy. Deceased
leaves a wife and four children— O. A.,
Kansas City, Mo.; R. U. and Mrs. Frank
Blakemore, Harrisburg, and J. E., Seat-
tle Wash. Dr. Wood was a member of
the Harrisburg Masonic lodge and an
active member of the Christian church,
of which he was an elder and a former
chairman of the church board. The
Harrisburg community will miss this
fine Christian physician who served the
people and his church for 50 years.
Sympathy is extended to the bereaved
family in the loss of the husband and
father.
