In Bourbon Co., Ky on 3 Sep 1788 Joseph Allen m. Dorothy Walker. Her
guardians are listed as George and Elijah Wood. I had suspected that her
father or parents were deceased and the Woods were near relatives who had
responsiblity for her. This scenario could fit.

Quite a few Walkers settled in the Fleming/Mason/Bourbon Co area in the late
1790's and early 1800's.

In Bourbon Co. there were several early Walker marriages:
Joseph Allen-Dolly Walker 3 Sep 1788
Betsy Walker-Mallen Hall 19 Feb 1795
Elizabeth Walker-John Riggs 10 Jun 1786
James Walker-Editha Smit
