"Funeral services for C.C. Monday, who died at his home, 1242 Bland Street,
at 7 0'colck yesterday morning following a year's illness, will be held at
3:30 o'clock this afternoon at Hawkins Funeral chapel. The Rev. H.F. King,
pastor of Bland Street Methodist Church will officiate. Burial will be in
Walnut Grove cemetery. Surviving Mr. Monday is his wife. He was formerly a
salesman for the International Correspondence school, and had been a
resident of Bluefield for the past 32 years. Mr. Monday is survived by his
wife and one brother, Avery Moody, of Knoxville, Tenn., also several nieces
and nephews. He was a Mason and member of Bland Street Church. Pallbears
will be: R.E. Wilson, J.W. Eaton, J.L. Wilson, W. T. Jackson, H. O. Belcher,
E. N. Dudley, Walker Akers, and A. H. Hurd."
