Myrtle McSwain Keller Sparks, 85, of 2320 Chesnee Hwy., died Sunday, Nov.
30, 2003, in Upstate Carolina Medical Center.
A native of Blacksburg, she was first married to the late R.C. Keller and
her second husband was the late William S. Sparks. Daughter of the late
Marion Seth McSwain and the late Georgia Mae Randall McSwain, she was a
homemaker and member of Cherokee Creek Baptist Church.
Surviving are two sons, Robert Keller, and daughter-in-law, Joyce, and
Ronnie Keller and daughter-in-law, Janice, all of Gaffney; daughters, Sybil
K. Sellars and son-in-law, Norman, of Belton, Iris K. Bradley and
son-in-law, James, of Gaffney, Barbara K. Bowen and son-in-law, Paul, of
Shelby, Judy K. Crawford and son-in-law, Donnie, of Rutherfordton, N.C.,
Mildred "Millie" K. Martin and friend, Elmer Suttles, of Hendersonville,
N.C., and JoAnn "Jan" George and son-in-law, Tom, of Gaffney; 20
grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Joe McSwain of Rock
Hill.
In addition to her husbands and parents, Mrs. Sparks was preceded in death
by a son, Ransome "Toby" Keller.
Services will be held Tuesday at 3 p.m. at Cherokee Creek Baptist Church,
conducted by the Revs. John Goforth, Rich Lancaster and Mike Frazier. Burial
will be in the church cemetery. Body will be placed in the church at 2:30
p.m.
Pallbearers will be Mark Bradley, Jamie Bradley, Seth Keller, Clary Keller,
Tim Keller and Keith Ridgeway.
The family will receive friends tonight from 6-8 at Shuford-Hatcher Funeral
Home and at other times they will be at the residence, 2320 Chesnee Hwy.
