Mr. George Gary Tumlin , 52
Died: April 30, 2005, in Weatherford, Texas
George Gary Tumlin, 52, passed away Saturday, April 30, 2005 in Weatherford,
Texas.

He was born November 15, 1952 in Odessa TX. He graduated from Odessa High
School in 1973. Moving to Weatherford in 1975, he attended Weatherford Jr.
College for two years and remained a resident of Weatherford for the rest of
his life.

Gary was devoted to his two sons and his love for his family and friends was
unwavering. Because of his love for, and the relationship he had with the
Lord Jesus Christ, Gary wanted a service at his passing to be one of
celebration of this relationship, of his salvation, and of his life.

The Lord gave Gary a true calling for a special musical witnessing ministry
to people of all ages, especially to young people. Beginning in his early
teens, Gary shared his testimony in words and songs in many churches, a
prison ministry, and even a trip to England as part of his church's mission.
Gary was also associated with the Little People of America and led prayer
and devotionals at many LPA meetings. He was a member of Spring Creek
Baptist Church of Weatherford. Even with failing health, Gary never ceased
to witness for his Lord.

Gary was preceded in death by his father and mother, James Roy and Susie
Marie Roberts Tumlin.

Gary is survived by his two sons, Stephen Matthew Tumlin and Timothy Paul
Tumlin of the home; two sisters, Deloris Jo Webb of Odessa, and Mary Smart
and husband, Glenn of Weatherford; one brother, Ken Tumlin and wife, Brenda
of Odessa; one niece; two nephews; one great niece; and one great nephew.
Gary leaves a multitude of friends made and held dear for many years.

Funeral services are scheduled 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 4, 2005 at White's
Chapel of Memories in Weatherford Texas.

Tankersley, Gary Peoples, and Scott Maughan.

A trust fund has been set up at First National Bank of Weatherford, 220 Palo
Pinto, Weatherford, Texas 760806, for Matthew and Paul Tumlin in the name of
