death by her parents. Benda was a 1961 graduate of Bertram High School. She
married Gaylon Daniel on July 3, 1970. She worked in the medical field until
the birth of her first son. Benda was committed to being a full-time mother
to her sons, Glenn and Craig, and a loving wife to Gaylon. She was a
dedicated, lifetime member of First Baptist Church of Bertram, where she
served her Lord in numerous capacities. One of her most fulfilling
ministries was providing fresh altar flowers each Sunday from her own
garden. In addition she worked on committees and held many offices,
including Church Financial Secretary and Sunday School Secretary.

Benda is survived by her husband Gaylon Daniel of Bertram, sons Glenn Daniel
of Leander and Craig Daniel of Arlington, Va., brother and sister-in-law
Connie and Sue Watson of Houston, sisters and brothers- in-law Sharon and

and nephews who each hold special memories of her generosity and patience;

Dean, Grant Dean, Nicholas Hill, and one great-niece, Claire Tobias. Benda
loved and lived for her faith, family, friends, and flowers. She was the
matriarch of her entire family and will be missed dearly by all whose lives
she touched. Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, June
