Pauline E. Carwin, 95, of Iliff died Sunday in Greeley.

Mrs. Carwin was born Sept. 23, 1909, to John Frederick and Bertha Mary
(Schroder) Japp in Kennard, Neb. She attended school in Nebraska. The family
moved to Colorado in 1924. She married Donald B. "Bum" Carwin June 30, 1936,
in Sidney, Neb. They farmed in the Proctor Community and lived on their
farm.

She is survived by four sons, Loren Carwin of Sterling, Gene Carwin of Fort
Morgan, Gary Carwin of Greeley and Randy Carwin of Proctor; two daughters,
Donna Dorsey of Loveland and Bonnie Carwin of Greeley; one sister, Olga
Parker of Rossville, Kan.; 21 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Carwin was preceded in death by four brothers, four sisters and one
son, "Dutch" Carwin.

Visitation will be held Wednesday from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. at Chaney-Reager
Funeral Home in Sterling.

Funeral services will be held Thursday at 1:30 p.m. at Chaney-Reager Funeral
Home with Rev. Dave Tyree officiating. Interment will follow at Riverside
Cemetery in Sterling.

Memorials may be sent to the Ladies Auxiliary of Crook Community Church or
the Hospice and Palliative Care of Northern Colorado.
