Robert Garza

Robert Garza, born on the 17th of July 1938, in Baytown, Texas to Adolfo and
Pola Garza, passed away on Tuesday morning, the 5th of July, 2005, in
Houston, Texas at the age of 66. Robert served his country in the United
States Army. He was a graduate of the University of Houston where he
received his Masters degree in Math Education. Robert taught for 25 years in
Clear Creek ISD, Alvin ISD and Galena Park ISD and also taught part-time at
Alvin Community College. He served as a Deacon for 21 years with St. Mary
Catholic Church in League City. In 1993 Robert was honored to receive The
Human Rights Award from the City of League City.

He is survived by his loving wife Minnie; son Robert , his wife Liza, and
their son Robert Antonio; daughter Jessica, her husband Dale, and their sons
Blake Andrew and Alec James; sisters Helen Balderas and Merci Garza;
brothers Hildebrando, Joe, Adolph, Johnny, and Fernando Garza; many nieces
and nephews; and numerous friends and students.

The visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 6, 2005 from 5 - 8 P.M. in
the evening with a Rosary at 7 P.M. at St. Mary Catholic Church, 1612
Walker, League City, Texas 77573. A funeral mass will follow on Thursday,
July 7, 2005 at 10 A.M. in the morning with Monsignor Eugene Cargill
officiating. Interment will be at Mt.Olivet Catholic Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Robert
Garza Memorial Scholarship Fund in the care of St. Mary Catholic Church
