Merle Kicklighter Howard, 76, of Savannah, died Tuesday, January 11, 2005,
at Hospice Savannah, Inc. She was born in Savannah, Georgia, and was
preceded in death by her husband, Walter W. Howard; her son, John "Chip"
Howard; her parents, Clyde Kicklighter and Nell Banks Kicklighter; and a
brother, Drexel Kicklighter. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Temple, and
was the former owner of Merle's Coiffures.
She is survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law, Walter W. "Lucky" Howard
and Marc "Tyke" Howard and his wife, Wanda Howard; a sister, Gaynell
Kicklighter Arnett of Seattle, WA; two sisters-in-law and a brother-in-law,
Myrt Kicklighter of Savannah, and Ralph and Birdie Anderson; and a niece and
nephew, Doug and Peggy Duehning of LaConner, WA.
Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday, January 13, at Hubert C.
Baker Funeral Home, Hodgson Memorial Chapel.
Entombment services will be at 3 p.m. Friday, January 14, in the chapel of
Forest Lawn Memory Gardens - Mausoleum.
Remembrances can be made to Hospice Savannah, Inc., 1352 Eisenhower Drive,
Savannah, Georgia 31406.
