Dale Edward Roll, 78, Plainville, Kansas, died Sunday, May 1, 2005 at Rooks
County Nursing Home. Plainville, Kansas.

He was born June 26, 1926 in Miami, Florida the son of Lloyd L. and Grace
(Bliss) Roll. His family moved from Florida to Kansas when he was very
young. Dale Graduated from Wellington (Kansas) High School in 1943. He
married Charlene V. Gamble
in Winfield, Kansas on October, 22, 1949. Dale and Charlene owned and
operated the Roll Tank Service for 38 years in and around Plainville. He was
active in the Masons, the 4-H and served on the board of education for
Plainville and Turkville for 23 years.

Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Charlene, of the family home, a
daughter Dalene Erwin of Olathe, Kansas, a granddaughter Michele Erwin
Cozart and husband, Craig of Olathe; three foster children Diana, Chuck and
Rick Gamble, numerous foster grandchildren; three brothers, Richard of Acme,
Washington, Robert and wife Peggy of Brookline Station, Missouri, and Donald
and wife Linda of Healdton, Oklahoma; one sister Betty Roll Holt of Tulsa,
Oklahoma; a sister-in-law, Cora Hobaugh; a niece Treva Younie as well as
numerous other nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.
