Cynthia Hollingsworth

CYNTHIA HOLLINGSWORTH, was born on February 21, 1946 and passed away on July
10, 2005 in Katy, TX. We've had 59 years of great memories to cherish.
Cynthia was an angel with a heart of gold that couldn't say no to anyone.
She was a back bone and support system to her family and friends, extended
or otherwise. Everyone she met soon called her their friend. She will be
greatly missed by all her family and friends, but her loving heart and
giving kindness will live on through all of us.
She was born in Gulfport, Mississippi, and graduated from Pascagoula High
School. She moved to Houston and called it home and then later to Katy,
Texas. She worked at H&H Music for about 28 years. She recently volunteered
at Katy Christian Ministries. She loved to volunteer there; she was an
inspiration to everyone she worked with. She had health issues that would
have hindered most from volunteering, but not Cynthia. She gave with
everything she had and then some. She's been married to her loving husband
and best friend for 18 years. She will lovingly be remembered best as "Mom"
or "Me Maw." She was preceded in death by her mother, Daisy Pittman Mayon;
her father, Sonny Mayon; and her sister, Sandra. She is survived by her
husband; Richard Hollingsworth; her son, Gregory Wade Seal; her daughter,
Melissa "Misha" Beck; her grandchildren, Sunnie Christine Thomas and Devin
Camille Beck; step grandchildren, Amanda Lee Beck and Andrea Renee Beck; her
sister, Phyllis Ann Seal; her sister-in-law and best friend, Elaine and
husband, Jeff Tucker; her niece, Misty and husband, Jason Walton; her
mother-in-law, Neysia Hollingsworth; brother-in-law, John and wife, Karen
Hollingsworth; nephew and niece, Travis and Audra Hollingsworth; and
numerous other relatives and many friends. If she were here, she would tell
us all to "put on our big girl panties and deal with it!" A memorial service
will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Schmidt Funeral Home Chapel, in
Katy. In lieu of flowers, donations to Katy Christian Ministries, P.O. Box
986, Katy, Texas 77492-0986, would be appreciated. SCHMIDT FUNERAL HOME 1508
