Mr. Jack McCarthy
February 27, 1929 - November 11, 2004
Jack McCarthy, 75 , of Concord died Thursday November 11, 2004 at his
Concord, MA home. He was the loving husband of 52 years of Nancy (McGonagle)
McCarthy.

Born in New York City on February 27, 1929 he was the son of the late John
A. McCarthy and Katherine (Dwyer) McCarthy. He attended New York City
parochial schools and was a 1951 graduate of Manhattan College where he
earned his Bachelor in Electrical Engineering degree.

Mr. McCarthy served in the United States Navy as a Lieutenant during the
Korean Conflict.

He retired in 1992 after over thirty-eight years of employment as a Project
Engineer and Program Manager at Raytheon Corporation.

A Concord resident since 1963, he was a former member of the Concord
Minutemen and also served on the Concord Free Public Library Committee. He
also served for several years as the Concord representative to the Board at
Minuteman Regional Vocation Technical High School.

A long time communicant of the former Our Lady Help of Christians Parish in
Concord, he served the church as a C.C.D. teacher and Lector.

In addition to his wife Nancy, survivors include four sons, Kenneth McCarthy
of Queens, New York, Jeffrey McCarthy of Acton, Mark McCarthy of Westford
and Kyle McCarthy of Boxborough; two daughters, Chris McCarthy of
Tyngsborough and Karen Sirois of Acton; and eight grandchildren. He was also
the grandfather of the late Daniel McCarthy.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to Daniel
McCarthy Memorial Fund, Middlesex Savings Bank, 577 Main Street, West Acton,
MA 01720 (Danny's Place).
