Lucas Francis Thompson, age 20, tragically had his life cut short on August
14, 2005 in the hill country he loved near Lukenbach, Texas. He was the
beloved son of Suzanne and Stephen Thompson and loving brother of Todd, Clay
and Ashley.

Lucas graduated from Westlake High School in 2003 where he was a Westlake
Varsity Letterman, a gifted athlete and a High School All American Swimmer.
Lucas had a tremendous passion for living, for life, his family, for all
creatures great and small, for the outdoors and for ranching. Lucas loved
and enjoyed his horse, Tex, and especially his little dog, Lilly. During his
brief time with us, we were blessed to share his dreams and accomplishments
and benefited from his easy going and loving nature. The light that burns
bright, burns briefly. Lucas, we reveled in your glow.

Survivors include his parents, Stephen W. and Suzanne V. Thompson; sister,
Ashley Thompson; brothers, Clay Thompson and Todd Gregurek, his wife, Lacey
& their son, Cody; maternal grandmother, Jeanne Dwyer; uncles, Carlton Mayo
& wife, Jeannine and David Thompson & wife, Darquise; and cousins, Heather
Thompson Gordon, Amber Mayo Broussard, C.J. Mayo and Candace Mayo.

Rosary will be recited at 7:00 P.M. Wednesday, August 17, 2005 at Harrell
Funeral Home in Austin TX.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10:00 A.M. Thursday, August 18, 2005 at St.
Mary's Cathedral in Austin. Graveside service will be 3:00 P.M. Thursday at
Memorial Oaks Mausoleum in Houston TX.

Lucas, you are in our thoughts until we are together in eternity, never to
part again. Jesus, embrace Lucas and welcome him into the glorious kingdom.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to The Lucas F.
