REV. GORDON R. THOMAS
Philippians 1:20-23. Gordon was born September 8, 1927, in Bangor, MI, and
died August 18, 2002, in Dallas, TX. He was Associate Pastor of Pastoral
Care at Lake Pointe Church, Rockwall, TX. During his life, he held Senior
Pastor positions in Dallas, Pennsylvania and Michigan. Gordon is survived by
his wife of 53 years: Ginny Thomas; children: Karen Markham and husband
Steve, Bill Thomas and wife Jay, and Paul Thomas and wife Beth;
grandchildren: Erin and Martin Sinclair, Lindsay and Ernie Villarreal,
Jennifer and Wade Reichert, Diane Markham, Jeremy Thomas, Megan Thomas,
Callie Thomas, Kelsy Thomas and Franki Thomas; great-grandchild: Mia
Villarreal; and 2 brothers: Robert Thomas and Gene Thomas. A memorial
service celebrating Gordon's life was held 7:00 pm, Tuesday, August 20,
2002, at Lake Pointe Church, Rockwall, TX with Pastor Steve Stroope
officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Lake Pointe
Church, Gordon Thomas Memorial Fund, 701 I-30, Rockwall, TX, 75087.
