Peter Andrew Nielsen, of Austin, TX died in his sleep on Sunday, July 31,
2005 in Austin at the age of 44. Peter was born in Fish Hoek South Africa
November 16, 1960. He was preceded in death by his parents, Andrew
Blatherwick and Maria Margarita Nielsen. He is survived by his sisters Lynda
Nielsen and Marie Lauder of South Africa. Peter attended school in Fish Hoek
SA, University degrees BSC and Honors at University of Capetown SA, and
recieved his PHD at Brandeis University in 1988. Dr. Nielsen taught at the
University of Michigan, University of Texas and LBJ High School here in
Austin. At the time of his death he was employed by IBM. Peter was a loving
brother, generous friend , loyal co-worker and good American. He will be
missed by family, friends, former students, and his fellow IBMers. A
celebration of his life and accomplisments will be held at his home on the
