Billy Joe Bennett, age 75, of Armentrout rd, died October 31, at Johnson
City Medical Center. He was the son of the late Baxter and Willetta Canipe
Bennett, and a Native of Mitchell County, NC. He was a retired Carpenter
with Bethlehem Steel, in Baltimore MD. He was a member of Patapsco Lodge
#183 AF&AM, in Dundalk, MD, and and a 32nd degree Mason Valley of Baltimore
Orient Maryland Scottish Rite, he was also a member of Limestone Baptist
Church, Limestone, TN.

Survivors include; wife, Georgia Gouge Bennett, of the home, godchild, Trina
Sigwart, of Maryland, sisters, Muriel Laws, of Newdale, NC, Nelda Baker, of
Bakersville, NC, and Jane Kay Johnson, of Conley, Ga, three brothers, Paul
Bennett, of Johnson City, TN, Arthur Bennett, of Asheville, NC, and Tim
Bennett, of Spruce Pine, NC.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, November 3, at 3PM, in the chapel of
Henline - Hughes Funeral Home with Jack Callahan officiating. The family
will receive friends two hours prior to the service. Interment will follow
at Gouge Cemetery (Hwy 261).

Henline - Hughes Funeral Home is assisting the family.
