Joseph Jake Airhart

AIRHART Joseph Jake Airhart, a retired biomedical engineer, died Monday at
East Jefferson Hospital in LA. He was 88. Beloved husband to the late Rosa
Emily Mattes Airhart. Mr. Airhart served in the U.S. Army for World War II
and the Korean War and retired from the Army as a Sergeant First Class. He
was the owner of Electro Medical Equipment. He was a graduate of Warren
Easton High School. He was the son of the late Jake William Airhart and
Marie Frauli. Mr. Airhart was a member of the Knights of Columbus, a
parishioner of St. Dominic Catholic Church, and served as a Eucharistic
Minister at the Immaculate Conception Parish Jesuit Church. Father of Joseph
J. Airhart, Richard A. Airhart, MD, Patricia Airhart Schaefer and the late
William T. Airhart. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 12
great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. Relatives and friends of
the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass on Saturday, November 5,
2005 at 2:00 PM at Holy Name of Jesus Church, 6367 St. Charles Ave., New
Orleans, LA. Visitation will be held on Friday evening, November 4, 2005
from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans
Boulevard, near Clearview Parkway and on Saturday, November 5, 2005 from
1:30 PM until funeral time at the church. Interment will be in Lake Lawn
Park & Mausoleum at a later date. Please sign the online guest book at
