Burton Edgar Swingle
Services for Burton Edgar Swingle of 700 Birch Drive will be at 7 tonight at
the Nolan Funeral Home Chapel, 225 N. Weber St., with Mr. Paul Worcester
officiating. Burial will be in Matamoras, Pa. Mr. Swingle died Sunday in a
Colorado Springs Hospital after a brief illness. He was 93. Mr. Swingle was
born on Sept. 28, 1888, in South Canaan, Pa., and had lived in Colorado
Springs since 1979. He was a retired railroad engineer from the Erie
Railroad. Mr. Swingle was a member of the Masonic Lodge No. 752. He was a
Jehovah's Witness. Survivors include two daughters, Betty Linsenbigler of
Security,a nd Florence S. O'Neill of Colorado Springs; five grandchildren;
and 12 great-grandchildren.
