Helen H. BEDNAR, 102, of Wymore, Neb., died at the Good Shepherd Village in
Summerfield, Kan., on Tuesday, June 20, 2006. She was born April 7, 1904, in
Iowa, and moved with her family to Milligan, Neb. She graduated from Tobias
High School in 1921, and taught school for five years. She married Joseph
BEDNAR Sr. on Jan. 8, 1929, in Wilber, and they farmed in the Wymore area.
She was a member of WMB Club of Wymore, and enjoyed gardening, crocheting
and making kolaches.

Survivors include one son, Joseph BEDNAR Jr. of Wymore; one daughter, Mary
Ann BEDNAR HAYS and husband Stanley of Blue Springs; eight grandchildren,
Diane TEGTMEIER, Debrah FERGUSON, Clark BEDNAR, Michael BEDNAR, Susan
WAGNER, Scott BEDNAR, Nancy BOND and Judy HAGEMEIER; 19 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Anna (YECK) BAXA; her
husband, Joseph, who died Oct. 3, 1995; two brothers, Joe and George BAXA;
an infant sister; sister, Sylvia ROHLA; and a granddaughter, Shelly Hays
BELLAMY.

Graveside and burial services will be held Friday, June 23, 2006, at 11 a.m.
at the Wymore Cemetery with Rev. Rick Sykes officiating. A memorial has been
established to the family's choice with the Fox Funeral Home in charge. The
body will lie in state at the Fox Funeral Home, 19th and Garfield streets,
Beatrice, from 5 p.m. Wednesday until 9 p.m. Thursday evening. A guest book
