Sondra L. Rinker, age 67, of Jonesville, passed away Monday, June 20, 2006,
at the Litchfield Nursing Centre. She was born June 18, 1939 in Hillsdale to
Kenneth & Mildred (Underhill) Emerick.

Sondra was a 1957 graduate of Adrian High School and was a long time
Hillsdale area resident. She attended junior college studying Dietary
Science and later was a kitchen supervisor. Sondra was a member of the
Hillsdale First Presbyterian Church and she loved to garden, cook, and bake.

She is survived by her mother, Mildred Emerick of Jonesville; one daughter,
Rondella Byrd of Washington State; one son, James Rinker of Oregon; two
sisters, Mary Lou Emerich of Jonesville, and Paula (Curtis) Dora of
Jonesville; and one brother, Steven (Cheryl) Emerick of Bellfair, WA. She is
also survived by four grandchildren, three nieces, and three nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, Kenneth Emerick, and two nephews.

There will be a memorial service held Monday, June 26, 2006 at 1:30 p.m. at
the Hillsdale First Presbyterian Church with Rev. John Toth officiating.
There will be no visitation or calling hours. Arrangements are entrusted to
VanHorn-Eagle Funeral Home in Hillsdale.

Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to make a donation to the
Greater Hillsdale Humane Society or to the American Kidney Foundation.
