Cora R. Breitenfeld
Cora R. Breitenfeld, 87, of Woodland Park died of cancer Monday in a
hospital. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday in St. Peter's Lutheran
Church, Rocky Ford, with the Revs. Craig Patterson and David Bass
officiating. Burial will be at 2 p.m. Firday in Hillcrest Burial Park, Rocky
Ford. A memorial service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday in Faith
Lutheran Church, Woodland Park, with the Rev. Craig Patterson officiating.
Evergreen Funeral Home, Fountain and Union Boulevards, is handling
arrangements. Mrs. Breitenfeld was born Oct. 9, 1898, in Portland, N.D., and
had lived in the area since 1954. Her parents were the late Gilbert and
Isabel (Saalsaa) Jordet. She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church's LWMA
and the Lois Circle, the Woodland Park Pioneer Club and the Teller County
Republican Women's organization. She was married Feb. 4, 1930, in Rocky Ford
to Walter Breitenfeld, who survives. Others survivors include a son, Marvin
of Soldotna, Alaska; a daughter, Doris of Terre Haute, Ind.; a brother
Willard Jordet, and a sister, Norma Hoyt, both of Anchorage, Alaska, and
seven grandchildren. Memorial contributions can be made to Faith Lutheran
Church in Woodland Park, Prospect Homecare/Hospice in Florissant or the
Penrose Cancer Clinic.
