Lillian Zautke
NORFOLK - Services for Lillian A. Zautke, 100, Norfolk, will be at 10:30
a.m. Monday at Mount Olive Lutheran Church in Norfolk. Burial will be in
Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery.
Visitation will be 3-7 p.m. Sunday at Johnson-Stonacek Memorial Chapel in
Norfolk.
She died Wednesday, Aug. 15, 2007, at her home.
The daughter of Louie and Agnes (Sazama) Pochop was born April 5, 1907, at
Osmond. She attended School District 79 in Pierce County.
She married Arnold Tech in January 1931. The couple farmed at Jamison, S.D.,
for six years. They moved to a farm by Osmond in 1937. In 1950, they bought
a farm northwest of Norfolk. Arnold died in 1961.
Lillian continued to live on the farm until February 1964, when she moved to
town. In August 1964, she married Louie Zautke.
The couple farmed northwest of Randolph for 13 years. They then moved to
Norfolk in 1977. Louie died in 1991.
Mrs. Zautke was a member of Mount Olive Lutheran Church in Norfolk and its
ladies aid. She also helped with the Braille group for 10 years.
Survivors include two daughters, Marjorie and her husband, Ray Koch of
Columbus, and Arvilla (Babs) Middleton of Wayne; two sons, Robert and his
wife Toni Tech of Phoenix, Ariz., and Kenneth and his wife, Mardell Tech of
Norfolk; 10 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; 21
great-great-grandchildren; eight step-grandchildren and her nieces and
nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, both husbands, Arnold and Louie,
two brothers, infant twin grandsons, a daughter-in-law, a son-in-law and a
sister.
Music at the funeral will be provided by Terri Hankins, Rhonda Hoefer and
Julie Couch. Casketbearers will be Steve Koch, Michael Koch, Jonthon Koch,
Scott Tech, Mark Middleton and Daniel Jaeger.
The Rev. Frank Brink will officiate.
