ALLISON - Alton Ray Bryant, 68, died Friday, Aug. 17, 2007, in Oklahoma
City.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday in First Baptist Church of Allison
with thew Rev. Bill Stiles, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Zybach
Cemetery by Wright Funeral Home of Wheeler.
Mr. Bryant was born May 8, 1939, in Stanton to Alvey and Virginia Yates
Bryant. He married Judith Adams on Sept. 26, 1958, in Midland. He graduated
from Sul Ross University and taught school in Garden City and Levelland. He
then went to work for the U.S. Forestry Service and retired in 1996. He had
lived in Allison the past 6 1/2 years moving there from Tucumcari, N.M. He
was a member of First Baptist Church in Allison.
He was preceded in death by his wife in April 2007.
Survivors include three sons, Darrell and wife Polly Bryant of Elk City, Tim
and wife Gwen Bryant of Slapout, Okla., Joel and wife Toni Bryant of Tulia;
two sisters, Betty Simpson and Carolyn Dunn, both of Midland; eight
grandchildren, Jackie, Matthew, Haley, Shay, Cheyenne, Creed, Zane and Cade.
The family suggests memorials be to Working Ranch Cowboys Foundation, P.O.
Box 7765, Amarillo TX 79114.
