Sarah McCrae, fifth child of William and Rachel McCrae, was born on 14
February 1867 in Brussels, Grey Township, Huron County.

She moved with the family to Guelph Township, Wellington County, and then to
Essex County.

She was married on 07 February 1894 in Leamington to Wallace Tilden (b.23
January 1864 in Mersea Township), farmer, son of Charles Tilden (b.21
October 1833; d.15 July 1899) and Ann Gow (b.23 December 1830; d.21 October
1908) of Lt.9, Conc.7; the witnesses were Ann and Maggie Prosser of
Leamington.

In 1901 Sarah and Wallace were living on 100 acres at Lt.13, Conc. B, Mersea
Township, just east of Leamington. Living with them at that time was her
brother Samuel.

Wallace died in 1942,

Sarah died in 1945 and they are buried In Lakeview Cemetery, Leamington.
They had three children.
