EMIL WARNKE

Emil Ernest WARNKE was born May 25, 1891 in Petersburg, the son of William
and Albertina WARNKE. He died Aug. 30, 1969 from injuries received in an
automobile accident which occurred 3 miles west of Gordon.

He was married Feb. 8, 1911 to Lena Dohse. To this union were born 2 sons
and 4 daughters. He moved his family from Clearwater to Gordon in 1931 and
farmed and ranched in the Pioneer and Pole Creek area southeast of Gordon.
In 1946 he sold his ranch and moved to Gordon. For several years he has made
his home at the Hugh Jamison place east of Gordon and worked for farmers in
the area.

He was preceded in death by his parents and 8 brothers and sisters.
Survivors include his children, Mrs. Loran (Genevieve) Hemenway, Castle
Rock, Wash.; Raymond, Kuna, Ida.; Mrs. Woodrow (Bernadine) Vollintine,
Melvin; Mrs. Wayne (Dorthy) Turnbull of Gordon; and Mrs. Jack (Bonnie) Simms
of Hay Springs; 10 Grandchildren; 12 Great Grandchildren; one sister, Louise
Cavanaugh of St. Edward and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were conducted Sept. 2, 1969 at the First Methodist Church
at Gordon, with the Rev. Keith Griffith officiating, organ music was by Mrs.
Gordon Mills. Burial was in Mount Hope Cemetary with Chamberlain-Gates
mortuary in charge of arrangements.
