Molly Lou Mitchell Keeling

(07/21/2003) Molly Lou Mitchell Keeling, age 80, of Austin died Sunday, July
20, 2003. Ms. Keeling was born in Liberty Hill, Texas, to David and Bertie
Lee Mitchell. She graduated from Mary Hardin Baylor College in 1946 and
received her Masters of Education Degree from the University of Texas in
1962. After a career of 36 years as an elementary school teacher, Ms.
Keeling retired from the Austin I.S.D. in 1985. She was involved in many
organizations and volunteer activities such as Reading is Fundamental, Delta
Kappa Gamma, Hope Food Pantry at her church, and her beloved Tuesday
afternoon Dutch Dolls Quilting Bee. She was a member of Trinity United
Methodist Church where she served in many capacities including children and
adult Sunday School teacher, United Methodist Women, and various committees
throughout the years. Ms. Keeling is survived by a son, David T. Keeling and
wife, Judy, and grandchildren, Mitchell and Meredith; a daughter, Emily
Albrecht and husband, Les, and grandchildren, Heidi and Julie; and
great-grandson, Jordan; a sister, Carrie Jo Miller; and several nieces and
nephews. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 22,
2003, at Trinity United Methodist Church, 600 E. 50th Street, with Reverend
Susan Sprague officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be
made to Trinity United Methodist Church, 600 E. 50th Street, Austin, Texas
78751, or to Reading is Fundamental of Austin, 5408 Westminster Dr., Austin,
Texas 78723.
