David "Bubba" Pinard

(07/21/2003) David ``Bubba'' Pinard Born on October 2, 1947, in Winfield,
Kansas, David ``Bubba'' Pinard, 55, left this world on July 19, 2003,
following a four year struggle with heart disease. He was surrounded by his
family and many loving friends. He was employed by LCRA for 20 years as a
Control Room Operator. He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Karen; two
daughters, Jean Ann McCarthy and husband Noe' of Fayetteville, TX, and
Angela Pinard of San Marcos, TX. He is also survived by one sister, Gloria
Morris and husband Robert of Robinson, TX; two granddaughters, Keely and
Kayla McCarthy; and a host of wonderful friends. David had two very special
doctors in his life. With gratitude, the family wishes to thank Drs. Tushar
Shah and Steve Cole for going the extra mile and never giving up. His life
was enriched by his friendship with these two special men. The family also
acknowledges with love the care given to him by Drs. James Williams, Emery
Dilling and Andrew Alpar. Not to be forgotten are his ``Angels'' in CVRU,
his ``Sweeties'' in ICU and ``The girls'' in step-down at South Austin
Hospital. These individuals represent the best of the medical profession.
The Pinard family would also like to thank ``Bubba's'' extended family, at
LCRA and the employees of the Bastrop County WCID #2, for the many benefits
and blood drives during his illness. His spiritual needs were fulfilled by
his pastor and friend, Monsignor Edward Dockupil and Wally Houghton of
Austin, Texas. Recitation of the rosary will be at 7:00 p.m., Monday, July
21, 2003, at Marrs-Jones-Newby Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will
be at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 22, 2003, at Ascension Catholic Church.
Celebrant will be Monsignor Edward Dockupil. Pallbearers are Angelo Schena,
Ken Keil, Chris Deas, Dennis Belanger, Randy Runkle, Donnie Hibbs, Joel Wise
and Robert Potts. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association,
1700 Rutherford Ln., Austin, TX 78754, or Ascension Catholic Church Building
Fund, PO Drawer W, Bastrop, TX 78602. Marrs-Jones-Newby, Bastrop, TX
