THE LAMAR COUNTY ECHO, (Date of obituary not available.) 'W. Milsap Gunn,
81, who formerly lived at 2217 Cleveland, died Friday, 25 Jan 1974, in a
local nursing home in Paris, Texas. Funeral services were held Monday, 28
Jan, at Fry and Gibbs Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Raymond A. Armstrong
officiating. Burial was made in Evergreen Cemetery. Mr. Gunn was born 12 Dec
1892, a son of Frank T. and Maude Milsap Gunn. He married the former Miss
Winnie Skidmore in June 1919. She died in 1959. He attended Bairdstown Texas
schools and Paris Commercial College and was a veteran of World War I having
served in France. He was a member of First Christina Church and a retired
rural mail carrier. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Bill Salock of San
Francisco, Calif.; a son, William Terrell Gunn of Red Lanes, Calif.; five
grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Frank C. Phillips of Dallas and two nephews,
Dr. J.F. Hillhouse of Paris and Larry Phillips of Taiwan, China.'
