Dear Edie,

I'm also descended from the Wren family of Wolsingham and have just come across your and Jayne's interests. I've also replied to her via the site. It would be great if the three of us could coordinate directly via e-mail and exchange information on our interests and research to date. The IGI covers the area fairly well, but there's a lot more research to be done and it would be good if we could share efforts. The Wren family has an extensive and ancient history in the area, and Durham is probably the origin of the Wren name throughout the UK. Sir Christopher Wren's ancestors came from the same area, and I have done a fair bit of research on the history of the main Wren line in Binchester which is almost certainly connected to ours.

All the best,

Ian Hall
