In case you are wondering have picked this up off the rootsweb help page -
update on mail status:-

"The list2 server was down and list mail was queued. The list mail will be
delivered slowly over the next day or two. We apologize for the
inconvenience."

So if you are experiencing mail delivery difficulties this should answer
your query.
