word from the list manager that the message may not have
gone out to everyone. I have also added some more
information!)

I am researching WRIGHT AND related families CROW
(Lewis), STRICKLAND (William O and Ervin), NELSON
(William Jefferson), JOHNSON (Starling died
white county GA), ASHCRAFT (John), LOGAN, RAY,
APPLING, and ABERNATHY (Rev Miles J rome GA) family lines.

These families lived in Fayette county Alabama near
Newtonville in the southwest (Hico Beat) part of the county. These Wright,
Crow, Strickland families came to Fayette county circa 1837 from
Jackson / Hall county GA because of a land grant for service in the war of
1812 battle of New Orleans.

My GGG GF Henry B. Wright was born in 1813 in SC and
died 1864 in Fayette Co AL. He married Susannah
Ashcraft (dau of John and Sary Ashcraft). I do not know
who Henry' parents are but I think his fathers name may
have been John.

I also think Henry's siblings were Catherine (b 179?)(M
lewis crow), Rebecca, Martha W (m William O
Strickland), Michael, Francis, Jesse (m Elizabeth) and
possibly James M.

Cousins to this line were John F Wright, Billy Franklin
Wright, Thomas Jefferson Wright, Columbus Wright and
Raymond Wright.

Other families from Fayette county who might have
migrated with my Wright lins are Poe, Nall, Shepard,
Caraway, Savage, Blakaney, and Freeman.

Henry and Susan's children were John F (b 1841-42)(Died in
civil war), Sarah Ann Rebecca (circa 1843)(m Jim Johnson),
Martha Jane (b 1845), Michael Jasper (b 1847), Susan
Elizabeth (1850), Mary (b 1859)(died infant), and Alsey A
"Elsy" (b 1863).

Henry had a cousin named John who married Elizabeth
Porter in Jackson county GA. John and Elizabeth settled
near Henry B in Fayette Al. Henry also had a brother or
cousin named William H who was Henry's partner. Both were
farmers and owned land together. William H may have been
an related to Lousia? N Perkins since lousia was in his
will.

Other related families have been traced to Laurens
county and Lancaster county SC circa 1780-1820 and Anson
county NC. Family tradition has been passed down that my
Wright line came from England. They went to Holland for 4
years then to the NC or SC (probably to VA first?). Some
of these Wrights went over to AR around 1850-1860
possibly Grant Co (if memory serves me).

Any help would be appreciated! I have complete
information on my line in Alabama and would be happy to
share.
