I have Wrights in neighboring Tuscola Co. My only Wrights are Sarah Madison
Wright married King Allen and their son Wright Allen. They pioneered Tuscola Co
arriving in 1851. This family always traveled with large extended family, to areas
where friends and family had previously settled or would follow. I have tracked them
through half a dozen relocations in the first half of the 19th century that way.

Sorry I dont know anything about my Wright ancestors or even for sure that Sarahs maiden
name was Wright rather than Madison. We suspect she mioght have been a widow when she
married King Allen because 1. she didnt marry him until she was about 25 and 2. there
are 2 young females in the 1840 census in the household that would have been born before
their marriage. We think one explanation is that they are daughters from a previous
Wright marriage. Sarah claimed her father was a Scotsman.

Before moving to Tuscola County. They lived in the following areas.

Before 1824 Suffield CT

1824 - 1831 Clay, Onondaga Co., NY
1830 - 1840 Oneida Co and Lockport, Niagra County, New York
1840-1851 Ashtabula Co Ohio. Many other names found in early Tuscola Co came from this
area.

There is speculation that this branch of Wrights is descended from the immigrant Wright
who came from England to Massachusetts in the 1600's but until I konw Sarah was a
Wright by blood rather than marriage I havent bothered to explore this line at all.

My Tuscola Co Wrights are connected to the following collateral surnames
