As many of you are aware, I sometimes "jump" in and make a statement that a
particular subject needs to be avoided on the mailing list. The reason I do
this is to maintain the list strictly for genealogical purposes.

We have received two messages today relating to the GenForum issue. I have
written both of the people who sent the messages requesting that they not
post this type of the message to the list.

There are issues that all of you need to become aware of and I totally agree
that many of them need to be responded to - BUT NOT ON THIS LIST, please.

I'm sure that most of you belong to other lists where you can learn about
these issues. If you become aware of an issue you think should be made
known to our subscribers, please write me and I will make a "ONE TIME"
message regarding the issue and then the list can respond individually
without disrupting the purposes of this mailing list.

I hope that you will agree with this policy.
