geocities.com (tidbits) I go not find it. Hope that it helps some of
you out there.

THE WRIGHT GENEALOGY (VA, NC, IL, IN, OR,CA)

The following information was extracted from "The Wright Family" by
James Long Wright with some information coming from English historian,
biographer and genealogist, Charles Arthur Hoppin and Census records.
The Wright Family book is on microfilm and can be rented at the
Mormon Family History Center
(No. 1429630). It contains a goodly amount of historical and
biographical imformation.

1. Richard Wright (Captain) b. England, 1633, d. VA 1663, arr VA 1655.
Settled in Northumberland which part later became Westmoreland: m.
Anne Mottrom, daughter of Col. John Mottrom (1590-1660) of Bristol,
England, arr Maryland in 1635, arr in VA in 1646/7. Richard is
reportedly the first Wright to come to the new world.
Issue:
2. Mottrom Wright, had 2 sons; one died early, the other at age
24.
2. Anne Wright, m. George Nicolas Hacke.
2. Francis Wright (Major), b. 1660, Westmoreland CO., VA, d.
1713, m. in 1680, Anne Washington , b. 1659, daughter of Col. John
Washington, great Grandfather of 1st President, George. Moved to
Prince William Co., thence to Stafford Co. After the death of Anne,
Francis m. Martha Cox who bore him one son, Richard.

3. John Wright I, (1682-1720), m. Dorothy Awbrey (Aubrey), b.
abt 1685, d. 1739.

4. Francis Wright, m. Ann Massey, had two daughters.
4 John Wright II, (1707-1792), moved to Fauquier Co., m.
Elizabeth Darnell(1710-?) in 1730. John is buried at Liberty, VA.
Spouse #2: Elizabeth Bronough (1714-?). Spouse#3: Ann Pryor (1710-?).
