The following obituary appeared in the December 8, 1997, issue of the
Bakersfield Californian, Bakersfield, CA.

Karen "Raylene" Wright
Services: Tues., Dec. 9, 11 a.m.
Graveside services will be held for Raylene Wright Dec. 9 at 11 a.m. at
Hillcrest Memorial Park. Raylene was born Feb. 12, 1954, in Bakersfield,
CA. Raylene passed away in a local hospital Dec. 5 after a lengthy illness.
Members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints will officiate.

Raylene was educated in Bakersfield and granduated from Foothill High School
in 1972. She was always a very active member in her church, The Church of
Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She enjoyed playing the piano at church
and attending Seminary classes when she was younger.

Raylene is survived by her mother, Doris Jean Wright of Bakersfield; father
Raymond Loyd Wright of Kentucky; brother Steven Wright of Wyoming; broter
and sister-in-law Brian and Kimberly Wright of Colorado; sister and
brother-in-law Monet and Stephen Davis of Bakersfield; as well as 9 nieces
and nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

Raylene will always be remembered as an active gymnast, pianist, and loving
person. She touched many hearts and will be missed deeply by her family and
friends.

A special thank you to the staff at San Joaquin Hospital, especially Denean,
Dr. Albert Peinado, Dr. David Doughery, and Carol Goldstein at Parkview
Real.
