Dear Francis,

This is in response to your query regarding Hamilton and other
familes you are researching in Bedford. For convenience, I am
copying the Wright and Bedford mail lists.

The one small piece of information that I have relates to Elizabeth
(Wright) Hamilton and her husband Thomas Hamilton.

Elizabeth was a daughter of 1779 (year of death) John Wright of
Prince Edward County, Virginia (place of death) and Anne (Pryor)
Wright. She married Thomas Hamilton (Hambleton) on May 22, 1783, at
Bedford County, Virginia. A correspondent friend, Nancy Wright Bays,
stated that on March 2, 1816, at Floyd County, Virginia, D.B. A/381
David Hamilton, Thomas Hamilton, and Stephen Hamilton appointed
Alexander Dunbar and John McConnell to collect what was due to them
as heirs of David Wright, late of Tennessee. That was David Wright,
Sr., a son of 1779 John Wright and, therefore, a brother of Elizabeth
(Wright) Hamilton. Nancy Bays also stated that the Thomas Hamilton
who married Elizabeth Wright was a son of Thomas Hamilton, was born
in 1757, and married second Ann Martin of Sullivan County, Tennessee.

I hope this is of some help to you. If you have additional
information on Elizabeth (Wright) Hamilton and her descendants, I
would much appreciate your sharing it with me.

Best wishes,
