I agree with Joyce. The whole subject has been fascinating and
enlightening. I'm always on the lookout for additional avenues and
subjects that relate to genealogy (and of course the WRIGHT name). This
was a subject I had not thought of, but should have. It would also
apply to those American's who moved into the Spanish possessions in the
mid 1800's (for instance TX and LA, CA). They also had to take an "oath
of allegiance" when they entered these areas to live and became
citizens.
