The following are excerps from "Names Changes in Massachusetts, 1780-1892."

List of Persons Whose Names Have Been Changed in This Commonwealth

....that Elijah Bingham Wright, of Pepperell, house-wright, may take the name
of William Otis;..... And the said several persons herein named, shall
hereafter be called and known by the names, which, by this act, they are
respectively allowed to assume as aforesaid; and the same shall be considered
as their only proper and legal names. [Feb. 8, 1823.

.... that George Wright may take the name of George Tyler Wright;....
And the said several persons herein named.... [June 16, 1827.

....that Elizabeth Sumner Wright, of Northampton, daughter of the widow
Hannah Wright, may take the name of Elizabeth Mosely Wright;....
And the said several persons herein named......[March 12, 1830.

.... that Antoinetts Wright of Boston, a minor, danghter of Nathaniel Wright,
may take the name of Anna Burlin Wright; ....
And the said several persons herein named....[June 23, 1831.

....that Mary Abigail Temple, a minor, and an adopted daughter of Jesse
Wright,
of Littleton, may take the name of Mary Abigail Wright;....
And the said several persons herein named....[March 25, 1845.
