If anyone is working on some Wright's in AR .....Yell county
especially....please contact me.

I am working on not only a "brick wall" but behind that is "cement blocks".

My grandfather was William (Bill) Wright who was 26 years old (per my
father's birth certificate) in Jan 1917. He (Bill) was born in Dardanelle
(Yell) AR and my grandmother was his second wife. I have no information on
his first marriage but per family he had a son by that marriage and was
raising it while married to my grandmother, Lela Faye Vick from Pope county,
AR. He is listed as a brakeman for the railroads on the b.certif. According
to my grandmother's sister, Bill and Lela were married about May 1916 and
lived in Dardanelle with his parents until about the end of that same year.
Lela then moved to Little Rock were she gave birth to my father, Ivey while
living at her sister's house (Ruby Vick Jackson).
I have checked the 1900 and 1920 census for this Wright family in Yell county
and had no luck. I do not know my great grandparents names yet. My father
never met his dad or any of the family members. I have asked several times
on an Arkansas list for a lookup on marriage records but no responses. I
even contacted people who volunteered the lookup and did not hear back.
Can someone give me some suggestions or help. I live in FL and do not have
good access to AR research here. I had to order the census records and only
got to view them once before they had to go back.

Any help would be appreciated.
