Am looking for a Mr. Wright (I'm assuming given name James at the moment),
who migrated to Republic of Tx in early 1800's; probably around 1835. May
have joined Van Norman's MS/LA volunteers in Natchez, MS. I believe he
married a Sarah McGary and am trying to prove it. Also trying to prove that
James C. Wright, who was 18 yrs. old and living with Anne and Daniel Boone
Friar in the 1850 TX census was the son of that union. Sarah was widowed
and married my gg grandfather, J. W. McKisick who was also a Van Norman
volunteer, in Washington County, TX in 1839. This Wright may have been in
LA; Sarah was from St. Landry's Parish, LA before she was in TX.

Any info or minor clue appreciated.

Sincerely,

Brownie MacKie
