Hi,

I believe this is what you are looking for. Go to this website and you can
print out an application to send for your person's Social Security (SS-5)
data. The age, employment status, residence and parents names are on there.
Due to current events it may take a bit longer to receive a reply from the
Social Security Office. Below I have copy and pasted data found on this site.
Also would like to suggest that you have your friend contact the area of the
deceased for an obituary.

A friend at work asked me to look for the gentleman for her. I believe he is
her husband's grandfather. He was born Sept. 29, 1913 and died Sept. 18,
1974. He lived in Russellville, AR. His SSN was issued in California. Any
information would be helpful, because she has just started her research and
doen't have a computer.
