Hi Steve-
Been looking thru some notes and trying to find your g-grandad. Is your grandad Lawence married to Lena?Victor is the cornerstone to our family. Hes very interesting to read about. try wvwags/bio-sauva.txt and also try www.rootweb.com/~wvmarsha/cemetery/mtolivet.htm those are two you can start at when looking up our line you will find sauvageot spelled a verity of ways Census records will help you alot. try a LDS library. At present I am researching our family military and did you know that Victor fought for the south? (Civil War) Also Basil could be a middle name that he used ( our family was great for that one) Try Mt Olive cemetary you cant step anywhere there that you will find Sauvageots all over. I found a Basil in canton Ohio his wife was Ethel Bquillen born in 1893 then I found a Cyril Basil Sauvageot burried lot # w half section 21 at mt. olive died at 74 he was married to Alma sauvageot. Which would of made him born in 1908 could be related as our family kept namin!
g family names over and over my middle name is Margaret and I was named for my great grandmother Margaret Sauvageot also have a cousin named margaret and a grandaughter named margaret all for the same lady.Victor 1st wife was Barbara Raas and also 2nd wife after 1st wife passed was Catherine . He had a number of children with both wives . Any quisions please feel free to call on me. Linda
