I am completely new at researching in West Virginia. I'm specifically
focusing my search in Martinsburg, where both my great and great great
grandfathers lived.

My gg grandfather, Lewis GRIMM died in 1892. Were death certificates issued
at that time? I'm also searching for his grave.

Lewis Grimm's daughter Anna married Adolph KOGELSCHATZ. He was a funeral
director and I'm told there is still a Kogelschatz funeral home in
Martinsburg. Does anyone happen to know if there are Kogelschatz family
members still associated with this funeral home?

I appreciate any help or direction that can be passed my way on researching
this part of the United States!
