to add to the listings, Sorry its a long note but lots of branches to
explore there.

Thanks for the time you put in to this web site it is so helpfulto us
who live so far away.I think I may have some info for you on Ralph...
Do you know where he is buried? or have any census info on him?

In the Pa Census index for 1820 I find a Ralph Ralston on page 147 of
Donegil twp, sorry I don't have the info for him just the listing.
In 1810 PA Census index a Ralph on p. 722 in WSDN county
(& I forgot to write down all the abv. stuff so have to get that next
trip to the library)
In 1840 a listing of a R. Ralston p 238 Chartiers twp.
In 1850 census film of Washington Co. I found in Donegal twp a
Ralph Ralston 25, wife Margaret 25, & child Elizabeth M. 1
& Isabella Ralston 40, head of household, David 21, James 19, Martha 18,
George 14, Elizabeth J. 13, John 10 & Susannah 7.

In 1860 I only have the index listing & in Donegal p 353
is a Margaret, Martha, Ralph, George & Isabella Ralston listings.

In a will of Ralph Ralston of Donegal twp Wash. Co Pa dated
25 Dec 1823, wife Martha sons George, John & James & mentions our
bound girl Mary BARCLY to be set free when reaches age or at death of
wife Martha, wit by James P Kerr & George Richy.

In a will of George Ralston Nov 25, 1842, Wash.Co PA listed beloved
wife Isabella, my mother Martha, decd father Ralph Ralston,
& oldest son RALPH, wife Isabella & Robert -looks like McNoil or
McNail as exec.

In a will of James Ralston of Claysville, Donegal twp Wash. Co PA,
2 Jan 1833 wit Robert McNeal & William Holmes, James a chairmaker,
wife Susanna, left sole guardinship of any children which may be born
to me by wife Susanna, brother George Ralston & brother in law John
McMillan.

I have two wills of John Ralston's, so not sure which would be
the son of Ralph listed in will above.

John Ralston 18 Nov 1814, of Canton twp Wash.Co Pa well beloved wife
Mary Ralston, James Ralston son Samuel, Dau Sally, son in law Wm
Gormly & son in law William Toman, sons William & John, Dau Bettsey,
son Robert, son Alexander, wife Mary & Son Samuel are made exec,
wit James Taggart & Matthew Morrow.

& Mary Ralston will list son Samuel Ralston as Dec'd & Dau Betsey
Ralston sole exec. dated Feb. 16, 1824 wit by Hugh Allison & Samuel
McKee.

I also found a will of William Ralston d. 6th March 1893 of W.
Middletown, wife Jennie E. Ralston wit Jas T. Patterson, & Jno A
SNODGRASS.

John Ralston of Buffloe Twp Wash.Co Pa 15 Sept 1828, mentions wife but
not by name, land to be divided between James & John & Joseph Ralston
all sons of my brother James Ralston & Ester Queary (hard to read)
2 lots in Coldwels town to William & John Ralston to them & heirs &
assignes forever,James Ralstons son Jr., Appoints John McMillin Esq &
James Ralston Junr as Exec. wit by Robert WILSON & Alexander REED.

I'm looking for cemetery info & marriage proof on these Ralstons.
There is also a Rev.Samuel Ralston of the Mingo Pres.church near
Finneyville Wash. PA who d 1851 at 95 yrs, he married abt 1798 to
Rachel Ferguson b. abt 1777 in Franklin Co PA-d. 1828 d/o William
Fergusons & & maybe Sarah Legget or Sara Liggette (from IGI ancestral
file) William Ferguson d. 1833 in Washington Co Pa was an elder in
Pigeon Creek Church, the son of James & Rachel Ferguson.

The Rev. Samuel Ralston, b abt 1756 in Northern Ireland of Scotch
parents, he was a grad of Univ of Glasglow Scotland, Emigrated to
America in 1794 in 1796 was called to Mingo & horseshoe Bottom now
Monongahela City served 35 yrs & 40 yrs at Mingo, lived on Ginger Hill &
wrote many
books, he became deaf in his later years & a chair was placed next
to the pulpit from him. lic. by New Castle Pres church (could it be New
Castle Del?) his mother Ann also came to US & is also buried at Mingo
Cemetery, it only gave her age at death as 80 yrs. & info said he had a
brother named Ralph who also came to US.
<I have not proved the Ralph in Washington Co is the brother of Rev.
Samuel Ralston of Mingo> working on that in my spare time <grin>

There was no listing of brother Ralph buried at Mingo Cemetery.

& while I'm at it here I'll post my research interest just across the
border with Joseph Ralston family of Kings Creek, Brooke,Hancock Co
VA/WV & his sons Joseph & Samuel settled abt 1783 there.
Beers says"1st wife Ann McCREADY d/o Joseph McCREADY, 2nd Sarah Greer
from a will of Joseph Ralston dated 1843

Most are buried at Three Springs Cemetery in Hancock Co.
I also found a Samuel Ralston & Elizabeth PARKS from Brooke who
moved to Seneca Co OH.& died there,?poss the son of Joseph Jr.?

But just down Kings Creek in a cemetery is a Archibald Ralston
d. 25 Mar 1831, wife ANN__? d. 1832, children listed in his will
of Hanover twp Wash.Co PA, sons William, John & Nathaneal, &
dau's Mary FERGUSON, Jean KERR, Mary of Canton & Betsy w/o Robt Sa---?

Archibald Ralston was listed in 4th company 2nd Battalion of Washington
Milita in Rev. War also serving in company were Robert JOHNSTON, James,
John & Samuel BRICE, Alexander LIGGETT/Leggett, Adam & Joseph LOGAN,
Edward, John & Nehemiah SHARP, & others.
I hope this helps others in their search too, Sorry to send so many
names all at once but I must have abunch of branches in your area.
