My ggrandfather died in Wellsburg, Brook Co., WV 9 Nov 1918. I have tried
for a death certificate with no luck. Would it be possible that a death
notice would be in the Wellsburg newspaper on that date or soon after? Does
anyone have access to the old papers? He was originally from Pennsylvania
and was transported to Franklin, Venango Co., Pa. for burial. I don't know
why he was in West Virginia when he died. He would have been in his early
70's and a widower unless he had remarried in the last 2 years before he
died. Any help would be much appreciated.
