Hello Dianne,
sorry to take so long to get back with you. I'm sending this on
to the Brooke & Hancock Co. mailing list, maybe someone
researching the Maxwells there will contact you on them.....

here are the Maxwells listed in the book-
Hancock county WV Cemeteries recorded & compiled by
George & Mary Thayer, printed by Closson Press Apollo, Pa 1983
Maxwell, Samuel d. 1865, age 89 yrs
" Sarah Scott 1st wife of Samuel d. 1827 age 50 yrs old
" William s/o Samuel & Sarah d. 1815

I checked the other cemeteries in the book but didn't find any Maxwells
listed,
*& note that I have found some of the cem info to be wrong on afew of my
Ralston family buried there. I have another list somewhere in my files &
will
try to check for it & let you know if I find any other listings....

I also have a book on the Marriages of Brooke co VA1797-1874
