I am attempting to locate Back Creek Cemetery. A Sarah Piles (d. April 29,
1882) is buried there with her husband and two sons. This information was
taken from a obituatry in the Border Watchman from May 5, 1882. Any help
would be greatly appreciated.

Sarah (or Sally) Piles' (Pyles) husband was Jacob Piles, Jr. (b. 1795 d.
4/28/1869). Her sons' names were Allen, George, and John. George died in
1865 during the Civil War, so he may be there with her. I don't have any
death dates for the other two. I looked up Back Creek in an internet
gazeteer and found that there is a creek named Back Creek that runs through
Greenbriar, Monroe, and Berkeley Counties.

Sarah's maiden name was Baker and she was the daughter of Frederick Baker
and Elizabeth Smith.

If it helps, the obit also says that the funeral services were conducted by
Rev. A. Q. Flharty, of the M. Episcopal Church South.

Thanks for the help.

David
