Hi listmembers,

Not sure if is the kind of news you will accept but I feel it is important
to all genealogist as well as others who us local access for their internet
connections for research.

Wondered if you had seen this copy regarding Internet Access Charges in a
Reuter article:

Seems the dates for this topic covers 17 July and 8 Sep 1998. There is a
copyright notice on this article so can only send you to the site to read
the contents.

We seemed to find out after the fact of the bill passed in Washington on
the Bill Detrimental to Genealogists. Do not want this to go by the same
route.

Is there any future plan for the NGS & FHSocieties and any other interested
users groups to see about having a Lobbist in Washington, maybe even part
time, might be good toward getting into the 'act' before items that
interest us are voted into law.
