Yes, there was an Albertus Ringo who was was Cathrina Ringo's father.
Cathrina was the mother of my Effie Bi(u)rd. Cathrina married Elisha
Bird.....Elisha Bird was in Jail(Elisha must have been some person because I
find the name Elisha Bird handed down in 4 Generations of Peters)......so
this could be why they used the u instead of i(just speculating though.
Elisha Bird did had 2 brothers, Andrew and Thomasa and George.....was hoping
to find them in close to HAmpshire County, WV too. Yes....if you've seen
Bird/Ringo/Pownall's together...would be very interested in the note you
saw!!!
There was an ancestor George Pownall, who married a Hannah Hutchinson in
Solebury. Y or I or U in B_RD......I'm interested!!!

I'm not sure if there was a Quaker Church in Hamp, WV, but I know that the
Peters and Pownall's were practicing Quakers and brought their children up in
the Quaker Religion. It could be they believed that they didn't need Church
to actually practice the Religion( just speculating though)....because they
lived around Three Churches and why would they call it that if there wasn't
at least three churches there!

RINGO/POWNALL note you mentioned.

About the Sherman's Valley, PA......I have seen it in Perry County, PA.....I
just thought maybe by chance someone had heard of a Sherman's Valley in
Hampshire County, WV. This is where my John Peters was born. His father
drowned in the Susquehanna River while trying to rescue a woman. His name was
James Peters and he too married a BIRD....a Mary Bird.
